Nows The Moment (Credit Winner) and harness racing driver Mark MacDonald took no prisoners at odds of 6-1 and wired the field in capturing the $39,000 co-feature Invitational Trot at Yonkers Raceway Thursday, June 13.
The 8th race feature saw MacDonald leave with Nows The Moment from the rail and with Sea Can (Yannick Gingras) sitting on their backs, cut fractions of :27.3 and :56.1 to the half mile before race favorite Southwind Tyrion (Ake Svanstedt) came first-over from fourth place.
Down the backstretch, Nows The Moment maintained his lead with Sea Can coming first-over and Tachyon Jason Barlett) following second-over and Sea Can enjoying the two-hole trip past the three-quarters in 1:23.4.
By the top of the stretch, Nows The Moment was still in control with Sea Can and Gringras making their move, but they could not catch Nows The Moment, who went on to win by a half a length in 1:53.1. Sea Can was second and a late closing Unevergonnagethis (Jordan Stratton) third.
NOWS THE MOMENT REPLAY
Nows The Moment posted his seventh win of the year for trainer Mr. Allison Mac Donald and paid $15.60 to win. The nine-year-old gelding is owned by Sonya Mac Donald.
In the 2nd race $39,000 Fillies & Mares Invitational Trot, it was race favorite P L Notsonice (Kadabra) and driver Scott Zeron who worked out a perfect second-over trip in winning.
Julia Sisu S (Ake Svanstedt) went right to the early lead with Perfect Vixen (Jordan Stratton) getting the two-hole trip. Julia Sisu S led to the quarter in :27.4 and the half mile in :56.1 before the action picked-up.
Unforgettable (Jason Barlett) came first-over in the backstretch, giving cover to P L Notsonice as they moved to come after pacesetter Julia Sisu S. The three-quarters went in 1:25.1.
Around the final turn and Unforgettable, under a strong drive by Bartlett, nearly caught Julia Sisu S in the stretch, but made a break in mid-stretch. P L Notsonice and Zeron had just tipped off their cover and they were able to collar Julia Sisu S to win by three-quarters of a length in 1:54.3. Julia Sisu S held for second with Queen Of All (Tyler Buter) fourth placed third as Unforgettable was third placed sixth because of the break.

It was the sixth win on the year for P L Notsonice. The seven-year-old mare is trained by Steven Brabrook for Elite Harness Racing, Inc. She paid $5.90 to win.
