Northern Express steamrolls to third straight

HARRINGTON, DE – Arty Foster Jr.’s Northern Express (Muscle Massive) and driver Russell Foster won his 3^rd straight start in the harness racing featured $20,000 Open Trot Wednesday (June 28) at Harrington Raceway in 1:56.3.

Despite his 3^rd straight starting slot from an outside post (seven), the 7-year-old gelding marched to the lead quickly after the gates sprung open and held off a flurry of rivals in a blanket finish for his 6^th win of the year. Remarkable De Vie was second with Embrace The Grind third. Northern Express has banked $135,290 this season. He paid $5.00 to win.

Driver Pat Berry had 4 wins on the card, while trainer Chuck Crissman had 3. Driver Cody Poliseno teamed up with his father, trainer Carlo Poliseno for a double. Ross Wolfenden and Allan Davis each also had a driving double.
