Catch Me Conrad (Tellitlikeitis – Envy) and harness racing driver Lindsay Moen scored in the Saturday (April 29) night $10,800 featured Open Handicap Pace at Northville Downs.

Lindsay Moen

Speedball pacers Lying In Cash (Jason Merriman), Liberal (Justin Irvine) and Oh K Man (Marc St. Louis, Jr.) did battle up front to a quarter in :27 seconds.

Oh K Man took over past the quarter and faced immediate pressure from Jet’s Sureshot and driver Kim Pluta. The pair continued to battle to the half in :56 seconds then to the three-quarters in 1:25.

Jet’s Sureshot started to fade which sent Catch Me Conrad and Moen three wide from the back past three-quarters and into the stretch as Lying In Cash who enjoyed the pocket ride dipped to the rain-soaked passing lane.

In the end, Catch Me Conrad proved the freshest horse drawing off to win by three-quarters of a length in 1:55. Oh K Man finished second, Liberal closed back up for third and Lying in Cash settled for fourth.

CATCH ME CONRAD REPLAY

Catch Me Conrad is owned and trained by Greg Cook and was bred in Michigan by Michelle Cook. The victory marked the 44th career win for the seven-year-old gelding and pushed his career earnings over a quarter-million dollars to $251,693. The race favorite paid $5.20 to win.
