Northville Downs, which opened in 1944, kicks off its 80th anniversary of harness racing operations this Friday (Jan 5) and will race 10 days from January 5, 2024, through and including February 3, 2024.

Racing at Northville Downs

Racing will be conducted every Friday and Saturday during this time frame except the third weekend of January when Northville will race Thursday, Jan 18 and Friday Jan 19 to accommodate horsemen and women for the MHHA Banquet which will be held on Saturday Jan 20. First race post time each race night will be 7pm.

Opening night, Friday (Jan 5), features a strong program with 10 races on-tap including the co-featured $10,800 Open Trot and the $10,800 F & M Open Pace.

Northville Downs will continue to offer their ever-popular dollar night at The Ville during each Friday live race night with $1 pop, live programs and popcorn, $2 hot dogs and beer and hamburger and cheeseburger specials.

Full card simulcasting from the best harness and thoroughbred tracks across the country will continue to be available seven days and nights each week from noon to midnight.

As we kickoff our final racing season at The Ville, all employees, horsemen and women and any fans and patrons who enjoyed their last trip to Northville are welcome back to enjoy themselves for one final time as we say goodbye to Michigan’s pioneer harness racetrack in its 80th and final year.

For live racing dining reservations for the upcoming meet, be sure to call Northville Downs in advance at 248.924.2073.
