With his third straight win in the $36,000 Open Handicap Trot Thursday (March 2), Nows The Moment (Credit Winner) can say he now owns the top harness racing class at the Hilltop.
Sent off as the second choice in the race (by 15 cents), Nows The Moment scooted right to the early lead for driver Austin Siegelman with race favorite HL Revadon (Yannick Gingras) grabbing the two-hole spot by the opening quarter in :27.
With the field racing single file, Nows The Moment and Siegelman backed it down to the half mile in :57.1. That would flush Hey Livvy (Jordan Stratton) first-over with Infinity Stone (George Brennan) second over down the backstretch to the three-quarters in 1:25.2.
Hey Livvy tried as she might but was unable to gain ground on Nows The Moment, who went on to win by three-quarters of a length in 1:54.2. Hey Livvy was second with HL Revadon third.
