Numerous fines and suspensions issued in USA

In the various state racing commissions in the USA, a number of harness racing trainers have been fined and suspended as reported to the US Trotting Association from last week. Also, a number of incidents have been appealed and stays issued.

Lisa Zabielski has been fined $2,500 and a 75-day suspension as her horse, Mr Dunnigans, was found to be positive for TCO2 at Saratoga Raceway on March 9, 2024. It is her second offense. It is not known yet if Zabielski is appealing the ruling.

John Wyatt having exhausted his appeals has agreed to a settlement of $2,000 in fines and a nine-month suspension after having been found in possession of hypodermic needles, syringes and injectable drugs on Feb. 2, 2022, at Busy Bee Farm in NJ.

Jamal Williams has been fined $1,000 and suspended for 180 days due to oral administration of substance to multiple horses are race day dating back to Dec. 2, 2021.

Keith Torro has received a stay from the NJ Racing Commission pertaining to being fined $1,000 and suspended for 30 days as on Dec. 9, 2023, his horse, My Name Is Hairy, was positive for Minoxidil at Freehold Raceway.

Thomas Lord has appealed the ruling issued by the Maryland Racing Commission with a $2,500 fine and one-year suspension as his horse, Franzo, was found to be positive for ADB-Fubinaca on March 14, 2024, at Rosecroft Raceway.

Walter Haynes, having completed his appeal process, has been fined $1,000 as his horse, Majestic Player A, was found to be positive for Aminocaproic Acid on May 15, 2021, at the Meadowlands.

Samantha Dubois has been fined $1,500 and suspended for 20 days as her horse, J-S Perfect Cache, was found to be positive for Dexamethazone on March 19, 2024, at Saratoga Raceway. This is her second offense.

Chris Dubois has been fined $1,000 and suspended for 60 days as his horse, Maczaffair N, was positive for TCO2 on March 12, 2024, at Saratoga Raceway.

Jason Bowers has appealed the Maryland Racing Commission ruling of a $2,500 fine and a one-year suspension as his horse, Johnny Q was found to be positive for ADB Fubinaca on March 14, 2024, at Rosecroft Raceway.
