Nylander (Muscle Hill) won the $30,000 Open harness racing trot at Cumberland Run on Tuesday (Oct. 31).
Nylander (Marvin Luna) took the early lead, with Dover In Motion (Lewayne Miller) following in second, and Speed Away (Kevin Wallis) racing in third. Dover In Motion broke stride as they reached the quarter mile in :27.3, leaving Speed Away in second behind Nylander.
As they passed the half mile in :57.1, Nylander was leading the way, with Speed Away following in second, and Itās A Herbie (Verlin Yoder) in third. From the outside, Golden Wall As (Tony Hall) started to move to the front. They passed the three-quarter mile marker in 1:25.
Nylander crossed the wire first in 1:54.2, two lengths ahead of Speed Away. Itās A Herbie came in third.
Nylander is a 6-year-old gelding owned by John Barnard and trained by Katricia Adams. He paid $10.52 to win.
