Tioga Downs welcomes two divisions of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for 2-year-old harness racing pacing fillies on Sunday (July 19).
Albergita Hanover (Roll With Joe-Ambro Amoretto) appears to be the one to beat in the ($49,500) first division. Trained by Linda Toscano, and driven by Scott Zeron, she finished second in her career debut in a NYSS race at Vernon Downs on July fourth.
Rightfully Mine (American Ideal-Leah) should be stiff competition. She finished third in her first career start also during a leg of the NYSS at Vernon Downs. She is driven by Jason Bartlett for trainer Monique Cohen.
The $50,400 second division features Easy To Please (Jim Morrill Jr.) and Test of Faith (Jim Marohn Jr.). Both are coming off NYSS wins at Vernon Downs.
Easy To Please (Roll With Joe-Lorrie Please) is trained by Michael Hall. She comes in two for two in her young career.
The Brett Pelling trained Test Of Faith (Art Major-Cannae Cammie) put in an impressive gate-to-wire win in 1:52.2. Her second career start will be on Sunday.
Tioga Downs will host the 11 race card at 1 p.m.
