This week in the reports from harness racing commissions across the USA, trainer Symon Spicer has received a fine of $5,000 and is suspended for 366 days as his horse at Freehold Raceway was found to have Methoxytyramine in its urine.
The positive test result came after the horse Beast Mode competed in the 12th race Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023. A split sample was sent to an independent lab with the same positive results.
Trainer Miriam Kraemer received a $3,500 fine and 27-day suspension for having two horses come up positive for Oxymorphone, Oxycodone, Noroxycodone.
Other fines and suspensions occurred for the drugs Methocarbamol and Furosemide.
