Command sells for $243,000

Command p,3,1:47.4 ($359,839), another top-level harness racing colt from this year’s talented sophomore pacing crop, sold through onGait.com on Monday afternoon (Nov. 27) for $243,000 to Sylvain Descheneaux of Quebec.

Trained previously by Brett Pelling for Diamond Creek Racing, the homebred son of Captaintreacherous/Fable took his mark winning a division of the Bluegrass at The Red Mile and also shows wins in the Pa All-Stars and Kentucky Sire Stakes and was a solid second to Confederate in the $400,000 Kentucky Sire Stakes final.

Currently in the onGait auction ring is Why Not Now, yet another from this year’s “glamour division”. The son of Always A Virgin comes off a career best 1:48.2f beating Moment Is Here, El Rey and Cannibal in the rich Progress Pace at Dover.

Forty-nine racehorses and bloodstock are being offered by Doug Overhiser and partners with auctions ending Thursday and Friday. Amongst the top horses selling are Open pacing mare No Win No Feed A p,7,1:49s; Western Era p,4,1:49.1s-’23 and the Walner 3yr old Morning Edition 3,1:54.1f.
