HARRINGTON, DE – The outside posts usually don’t produce a high winning percentage on a half-mile harness racing track, however, 4 horses from post 8 prevailed Wednesday (Sep. 7) at Harrington Raceway.

The tone was set early on the card as the first 4 races were won by horses starting from the outside posts, 3 of them from post 8 as A Royal Blast ($15.40, Jason Thompson), Always B Wayne ($3.20, Ross Wolfenden), Hiro Knockout ($5.80, Montrell Teague) and Ginger Tree Skyr ($9.80, Corey Callahan) all prevailed despite the undesirable starting location.

The 7th race saw another outside starter prevail when Rapid Pulse ($20, Allan Davis) scored a win from post 8.

In the overnight feature, Howard Taylor’s Swan In Motion (Swan For All) with driver Art Stafford Jr.) won his 2nd straight race over the track in the $20,000 Open Trot in 1:57.

The Dylan Davis-trainee left the gate in strong fashion from post five and controlled the tempo throughout with a 3-length win over Pass Key and Hatikvah. It was the 8th win of the year for the 5-year-old stallion who paid $6.80 to win.
