Monticello, NY— Fern Paquet Jr drove three winners on the Monday (Mar. 18) harness racing card at Monticello Raceway, including Hey Hey Dbay (Roddy’s Bags Again), who made her Monticello debut a memorable one by winning the $6,500 Open Fillies and Mares pace.
Hey Hey Dbay took the early lead, followed by Odds On Unicorn (Gregory Merton). Princess Brisa (Mcgwire Sowers) was racing in third, with Perfect Queen (Thomas Merton) following closely from the outside in fourth as they came to the first quarter mile in :27.4.
As they came by the stands for the first time, Hey Hey Dbay had the lead by a length over pocket trip Odds On Unicorn. As they passed the half mile in :57.3, Perfect Queen rushed to battle Odds On Unicorn for second.
At the three-quarter mile in 1:26.1, Hey Hey Dbay was in front, Perfect Queen followed in second, and Meadowbrook Krista (Jim Taggart Jr) moved into third. Hey Hey Dbay crossed the wire in 1:56.4. Meadowbrook Krista came in second and Lady Jericho (Michael Merton) finished in third.

Hey Hey Dbay is a 6-year-old mare owned by Michael Rizzo and trained by Marianna Monaco. She paid $6.80 to win.
