Patrikthepiranha A captures Meadows feature

WASHINGTON, PA, Sept. 9, 2023  — Patrikthepiranha A (Four Starzzz Shark-That’s The Spirit) used the Lightning Lane to gobble up the leader and capture Saturday’s (Sept. 9) harness racing feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $15,900 Conditioned Pace.

Annapolis Hanover, the lone 3-year-old in the field, showed his elders the way until mid-stretch when Brady Brown pointed Patrikthepiranha A inside. The 8-year-old gelding blasted past to score in 1:50.3. Double Metal also used the Lightning Lane to be second, 1/2 length back, while Annapolis Hanover saved show.

PATRIKTHEPIRANHA A REPLAY

Tim Twaddle trains the winner, who now boasts a lifetime bankroll of $474,347, for TheStable Patrikthepiranha Group.

Hunter Myers and Dave Palone each piloted four winners on the 12-race card while Brown and trainer Brandon Presto each fashioned a three-bagger.

Live racing at The Meadows resumes Wednesday when the program features a $638.89 carryover in the Early Pentafecta (race 4). First post is 12:45 PM.
