Payments due for Scioto Downs stakes

Payments are due for the Next Generation & Ohio State Fair at Scioto Downs from Eldorado Scioto Downs

Payments must be postmarked by March 15, 2022, for the Next Generation and Ohio State Fair Stakes at Eldorado Scioto Downs this summer.

The Next Generation, which debuted in 2020, is for 2-year-old Ohio bred pacers and trotters. The nomination fee is $10,000 which buys the owner a spot; a horse does not need to be declared until the draw. All four divisions will be held July 4 with an estimated purse of $150,000.

Payments are also due for the Ohio State Fair Stakes. A nomination fees of $250 is due for each of the eight 2- and 3-year-old divisions. The Ohio State Fair races will be carded August 4-6.

Nominations for the Charlie Hill Memorial Trot and Jim Ewart Memorial Pace, held September 10, are not due until June 15.

The 2022 Scioto Downs 90 card racing season will run May 12 through September 17.

 

First post all season, including the special Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day cards, will be at 3:15 p.m. due to ongoing grandstand construction.
