Incommunicado (Chapter Seven) and harness racing driver Daniel Dube worked out a perfect two-hole trip in capturing the $39,000 Open Trot Friday (Sep. 30) at Yonkers Raceway.
The 8th race feature began with Nows The Moment and driver Jason Bartlett scooting to the early lead with Hillexotic (George Brennan) working their way into the two-hole spot and Incommunicado with Dube stuck on the outside.
Then off the first turn, Hillexotic went off-stride with Brennan taking him inside the pylons. That gave Dube room to duck into the two-hole with Incommunicado. They went to the first quarter in :28.
Queen Of All (Austin Siegelman) vacated racing in third and came first-over with Hey Livvy (Jordan Stratton) a loose second over to the half mile in :57.3.Ā Down the backstretch Queen Of All kept inching their way towards race leader Nows The Moment by the three-quarters in 1:25.3.
Coming off the final turn, Incommunicado was boxed in behind Nows The Moment and to the outside by Queen Of All with no place to go. Dube was patient enough, saw Nows The Moment beginning to bear out and ducked down along the rail, shot through the gap and went on to win by a half length in 1:54.4. Nows The Moment was second with Queen Of All third.
