Madhatter Blue Chip (Greg Merton) captured the $48,000 Open Handicap Trot on Saturday at Yonkers Raceway after fading to fourth in his previous attempt.
Madhatter Blue Chip went to the lead from post one, posted fractions of 28.3, 59, and 1:27.1, and came home in 28.3 to defeat pocket-sitter Magic Vacation (Dan Dube) by a length and a half in 1:55.4. Rock Of Cashel (Austin Siegelman) was third.

Tom Milici owns and trains Madhatter Blue Chip, a 9-year-old Muscle Hill gelding. This was his 36th career victory, and he has now earned $391,402. He paid $11.40 to win after being sent off at 9-2.
There were no winning tickets in the Pick 6 again on Saturday night (September 25) at Yonkers Raceway, and as a result, there will be a carryover of $8,853.52 on Monday nightās (September.27) program. While the Pick 6 was not hit, the 50-cent Pick 5 was for a return of $8,022.75.
Yonkers Racewayās card on Monday night gets underway at 7:15 p.m. with the Pick 6 beginning in the third of the 12 races.
