Platinum As (E L Titan, Tony Hall) won the $25,000 harness racing Open Handicap trot at Dayton Raceway on Saturday (Dec. 2).
I Know My Chip (Tyler Smith) took the early lead out of the gate, with Platinum As on the outside in second. As they approached the first quarter mile in :27.3, Platinum As took the lead, leaving I Know My Chip in second and Adamsville Road (Sam Widger) racing in third.
Suddenly, Smoking Jet (Chris Page) rushed to take the lead. Adamsville Road was racing in second followed by Platinum As in third as they passed the half mile in :55.3.
At the three-quarter mile in 1:24.2, Smoking Jet was holding on to the lead. Wildfire Seelster (Dan Noble) battled Platinum As for second.
From the lightening lane, Platinum As stole the lead and crossed the wire first in 1:53.4. Wildfire Seelster came in second and Smoking Jet finished in third.

Platinum As is a 5-year-old gelding trained by Anette Lorentzon and owned by Acl Stuteri Ab. He paid $17.20 to win.
Josh Sutton and Dan Noble had driving triples.
