WASHINGTON, PA, Jan. 18, 2023 — Ponda Luck (Luck Be Withyou-Fancy Miss) outlasted Lone Wolf Jake in a spirited stretch duel and captured Wednesday’s (Jan. 18) harness racing co-feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $10,900 Conditioned Pace.

Ponda Luck and driver Ridge Warren

Ponda Luck was stalking Lone Wolf Jake from the pocket when Ridge Warren tipped him off the cones in the final turn. The 4-year-old gelding was the stronger horse in the lane, downing Lone Wolf Jake by 3/4 lengths in 1:55.1. TSM Tristan T rallied for show.

PONDA LUCK REPLAY

Dean Collins trains Ponda Luck for Collin Ryan. He paid $15.60 to win.

In Wednesday’s other $10,900 co-features:

  •  Back on Lasix, I’lltellmom (Tellitlikeitis-Good Gum Gertie) took a Claiming Handicap with a Lightning Lane charge that provided an 8-1, 1:55.2 victory for Dan Charlino, trainer Ron Burke and owner No Recall Stable. Delilah De Vie and Loudoo Priness were second and third, respectively. It’s the fastest win in the career of the 5-year-old mare.
  •  Cash Hall Filly (Cash Hall-Bv Victory) overpowered the field by 5 lengths in a Conditioned Trot, leading every step in a 1:58.4 triumph. Jeremy Indof drove for trainer Norm Parker, who owns the 5-year-old mare with Beth Skowron and Pamela Dotter. Princeofthefield and Sinful Sundae completed the ticket.

Jeremy Indof, Hunter Myers and Dave Palone each collected three wins on the 13-race card.

Live racing at The Meadows continues Thursday when the 13-race program features a $10,000 guarantee for the Early Pick 4 (race 1) as well as a $656.01 carryover in the Pick 5 (race 9). First post is 12:45 PM.
