Anthony’s All In (Rusty’s All In) did not disappoint the large crowd in harness racing action at Ocean Downs in race 6 on Wednesday, June 29.
Driver-trainer John Wagner sent Anthony flying to the front in a wire-to-wire victory in the $10,000 preliminary for sophomore pacing colts and geldings. This was his 4th straight win in Maryland Sire Stakes action in 2022 for owner-breeder Pam Wagner.
Time for the mile was 1:57.4 on the half mile oval. Alpha Beta (The Fraternity Pan) was up for second.
In an early non wagering event for the three-year-old filly trotters the rivalry between Charlie’s Song (Charlie De Vie) and You’ll Never Be Me (Cam’s Rocket) continued with Charlie’s Song crossing the wire a half-length ahead in 2:02.
Roger Plante Jr. was between the wheels for trainer Steve LeBlanc and owners LeBlanc Racing, Count De Money Stable, William Lutz Jr. and Glenn Dyke who is also the breeder.
Maryland stakes action continues at Ocean Downs on Wed. July 6th with the 4- & 5-year-old Open Pace.
The big summer event – the Ostrich and Camel races – will take place Sunday July 10th.
