HARRINGTON, DE – Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes action for 2-year-olds kicked off the week of harness racing at Harrington Raceway Monday as a pair of $20,000 divisions for pacing colts and geldings were contested.
Forrest Bartlett’s Primo Maschio (Badlands Hanover) ($2.10, Trae Porter) improved to 6-for-6 lifetime with a 1:54.4 win for trainer Kevin Lare over Lew Not Lou and Won Last Call. The Badlands Hanover gelding never had an anxious moment in his front end score.

Ā Tlb Racing’s Shore Not Beach ($2.80, Pat Berry) won the remaining division in 2:01.4. The Badlands Hanover gelding was making his first career start and won on the front end over Badlands Boogie and Strange Brew.
Ā In the overnight feature, Andrew Glassmeyer’s Sweet Angel Boy ($5, Tony Morgan) was a 1:51.3 winner, after narrowly passing pacesetter Iwannabewithyou in the final strides. Captaincountrystar was third. Sweet Angel Boy won his 9th race of the year for his owner/trainer Glassmeyer and boosted his seasonal earnings to nearly $140,000.
Pat Berry had 3 wins on the card.
A trio of DSBF divisions for pacing fillies will head the Tuesday September 24 program as live racing will continue on a Monday through Wednesday schedule (post time 4:30 p.m.) until October 23.
