WASHINGTON, PA, Aug. 7, 2021 — Prince Of Tides threw down a pair of sub-27 quarters but still needed to dig in late to preserve his harness racing victory in Saturday’s $16,000 Open Handicap Pace at The Meadows.
Prince Of Tides blazed the opening panel in 26.2, seating Done Well in the process. But even when Prince Of Tides tacked on a 26.3 third panel, he couldn’t shake Done Well, who made a race of it late. Prince Of Tides responded to the urging of Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. and held off Done Well by a neck in 1:49, with Whos Better a non-threatening third.

Wrenn finished the day with five wins on the 12-race card while trainer Ron Burke fashioned a triple.
