Quarrel (Mike Merton) captures the $10,000 featured fillies & mares’ pace at Tioga Downs on Friday (August 1).

Quarrel

Dash N Cache (Dan Rawlings) was first to the quarter in :26.3.  She used a :28.2 second quarter to lead to the half in :55.0.  Quarrel ($4.20) made her move first-up going down the backstretch and was first to three-quarters in 1:23.2.

As they headed down the stretch second place finisher Sweetest Belle (Tyler Miller) came charging late, but Quarrel dug in and won in 1:53.2.  Kay Sage (Aaron Byron) finished third.

Quarrel is a 6-year-old mare by Always B Miki.  She is owned by Karma Racing and trained by Rob Harmon.  It was her third win this season and she now has 19 career victories.

QUARREL REPLAY

Tyler Miller drove three winners on the card.  Dan Rawling, Leon Bailey and Mike Merton had driving doubles.  Besim Odza had a training double.

Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Saturday (August 2) with a post time of 6:15 p.m.
