So Diva (Justin Huckabone) went straight to the front but Quarrel (Chris Long) took the lead just before hitting the quarter first in :28.3.  Staying With Emily (Leon Bailey) challenged for the lead heading down the backstretch.  Quarrel ($10.60) was first to the half in :58.4.  Kissapotamus (Dylan Huckabone-Miller) then made her bid for the lead heading around the final turn.  Quarrel shook her off too and was first to three-quarters in 1:27.0.

As they made the turn for home Quarrel got away and won easily in 1:55.3.  So Diva came on to finish second.  Unusual Clarity (Ron Harp) and PL Princess C (Jeff Long) were in a dead heat for third.

Quarrel is an 6-year-old mare by Always B Miki.  She is owned by Karma Racing and trained by Rob Harmon.  It was her second win this season.  She now has 18 career victories.

QUARREL REPLAY

Driver Justin Huckabone drove three winners on the card.  Chris Long and Leon Bailey had driving doubles.  Rob Harmon and Michelle Warner had training doubles.

Vernon Downs returns to live racing on Friday (April 25) with a new post time of 5:05 p.m.
