Racing For Three (Western Terror, Trevor Smith) won the $34,000 Fillies and Mares Open harness racing pace at Miami Valley Raceway on Sunday (Mar. 24).
Kentuckylady (Kayne Kauffman) took the early lead, followed by Kat (Chris Page). Racing For Three was racing in third at the first quarter mile in :26.3. From the outside, Marloe Hanover (Sam Widger) moved to steal second.
As they passed the half mile in :56.1, Kentuckylady was holding on to the lead, Marloe Hanover followed closely in second, and Kat was in third. Anthem (Trace Tetrick) was second-over in fourth.
At the three-quarter mile in 1:24, Marloe Hanover stole the lead from Kentuckylady. Anthem rushed to challenge from the outside. At the top of the stretch, Anthem was the new leader. Racing For Three rushed from the outside to pass Anthem and cross the wire in 1:52. Kat came in third.
