Racing returns to Bally’s Dover Downs for 53rd season

Live harness racing (53rd season) returns to Bally’s Dover Downs for the upcoming 2022/2023 racing season.

The live season takes place Monday October 31(Halloween) thru Thursday March 30. Bally’s Dover Downs will conduct an 83-day meet and race Monday thru Thursday with a 4:30 pm post time.

Racing will be dark December 20 thru December 26.and return on December 27.

The Matron Stakes will return to the five eighth mile oval in Dover, Delaware. All 2-year-old eligibles will compete on Thursday November 3rd. All 3-year-old eligibles will compete on Thursday November 10th.

The Progress Pace Elimination is scheduled for Thursday November 17.

The Progress Pace Final will take place on Wednesday November 23. The day before Thanksgiving.

Delaware Standardbred Breeders’ Fund (DSBF) 2022 2 Year Olds 11/7 thru 11/16 ($20,000 elims) 11/21 thru 11/23 ($100,000 Finals)

3 year olds 11/28 thru 12/8 ($20,000 Elims) 12/12 thru 12/15 ($100,000 Finals)

Qualifying races are on Wednesdays at 10 am.

The draw schedule for the live racing meet will be as follows:

Monday- Thursday

Tuesday – Monday

Wednesday- Tuesday

Thursday- Wednesday

The box closes at 12 (noontime).
