This coming Saturday night, July 29, Southwind Amazon (Camluck – Artoonist) will seek to earn career win number 128 at Michigan’s Northville Downs, which would put the 13-year-old into a tie for second all-time with Rambling Willie on the winningest harness racing standardbreds list.
Starting from post position eight in an eight-horse field, Southwind Amazon will attempt to earn the victory in an effort to work towards taking over the top spot on the list currently held by Niffit with 137 wins.
Having something to say in the matter on Saturday will be seven rivals including 2022 Michigan Aged Pacer of the Year Lying In Cash (post seven), Catch Me Conrad (who was the 2022 Michigan co-Headliner of the Year award winner alongside the aforementioned Lying In Cash) (post one), as well as Panther Time (post two), Oh K Man (post three), Gabe The Babe (post four), Commander Bob (post 5) and Admiral Adam (post 6), all of which have competed with much success at the Open level this year.
Southwind Amazon currently holsters a lifetime record of 347 starts, 127 wins, 58 seconds, and 47 thirds, lifetime earnings of $1,444,952 and a lifetime speed record of 1:48.3 f, which he set at the age of 10.

Friday features the ever-popular ‘dollar night’ at The Ville with one dollar popcorn, live race programs, pop and win bets, as well as two dollar hot dogs, beer and hamburger and cheeseburger specials being offered to fans in attendance on-track.
