Rec Time (Huntsville), who has won seven of her ten lifetime starts, will make her Harrah’s Philadelpha debut Friday (Oct. 21) in the $93,200 John Simpson Memorial Stakes. There will be two $46,600 divisions for two-year-old pacing fillies.
Rec Time leads the 1st race first division of Simpson, starting from post two for driver George Napolitano, Jr. She is on a two-race winning streak and has won six of her last seven starts for trainer Deborah Daguet.Ā In her last start she won the $48,000 Final of the Renaissance Series at Freehold Raceway in 1:55.1. Her personal best performance was a 1:53.2 clocking at Vernon Downs in the Excelsior Series.
Another return winner in the field is Ginger Tree Coco (Stay Hungry) from the rail for driver David Miller. Ginger Tree Coco sports four wins and three second place finishes for trainer Steven Cook. In her last start at the Meadows, she wired the field with a four and three-quarters length romp in the $27,633 Keystone Classic Series in a lifetime best 1:52.3 mile.
The second Simpson division takes place in the 5th race is a wide-open affair.
Iluvloucy (Sweet Lou) is still a maiden after seven starts for trainer Travis Alexander, but in three of her last four starts she has been second. Falana Hanover (Always B Miki) goes from the rail for driver Victor Kirby and she has a record of 1:54.3 at Harrah’s Philadelphia while Ute Blue Chip (Captaintreacherous) was third last week at Harrah’s Philadelphia, race timed in 1:53.4 and the prior week was timed in 1:53.
