CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Dreamfair Zenfire kicked it into high gear with Marc Campbell in the bike to find herself in a tie for winningest harness racing horse in Canada after a Fillies and Mares preferred victory Saturday afternoon at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
Dreamfair Zenfire was fired up from the start in the $3,100 main event as Campbell pointed her to the lead and never looked back en route to a 1:56.1 win over an off-track for owners Ryan and Everett MacLeod of Souris. Ladylike (Driven by David Dowling) was second over Ms Moyse (Adam Merner).
There are no doubt Campbell gets the best out of the mare with the trainer sporting a 13 for 16 winning record on the year when he sat behind her in the race bike. The victory was number 16 of the overall campaign from 25 starts for Dreamfair Zenfire as she is now tied with Rideau Carleton Raceway claiming mare Ynothos for most wins in 2021 in the nation.
