Reign Of Honor too good in Open Trot

The Kevin McDermott trained, Reign Of Honor (Father Patrick), won his second consecutive open harness racing trot at Saratoga Casino and Hotel Sunday afternoon (Jul. 10).

Regular driver Shawn Gray piloted the heavy favorite to the win, getting away 3rd and being hung out to the quarter in a swift 28 seconds.

After taking the lead away from Bluffiner and driver Jordan Derue, Reign of Honor trotted home in 1:56, with a last quarter in 28.2. He paid $2.80 to win.

This was Reign of Honor’s 6th win this year at The Spa.
