MONTICELLO, N.Y.— Andrew Adamczyk managed to grab the lead from the outermost post with Stick With Me Kid (Deweycheatumnhowe) and strolled down the road to a 1:59 win in the $7,500 North American Amateur Drivers Association (NAADA) Trot at Monticello Raceway on Wednesday afternoon (July 10).
Leaving from post 7, Adamczyk sent Stick With Me Kid for the front, but his charge briefly lost stride at the start. Adamczyk collected his trotter and marched forward once flat to grab control from Raceace (driven by Alan Schwartz) through a :28.4 first quarter. Stick With Me Kid strode through the middle sectionals of :59.4 and 1:29.2 enduring little challenge while widening his lead. Raceace only gave chase back in second as Stick With Me Kid pulled away to a 4-1/2 length win with Psalmsfortysixfive (Scott Keppler) closing for third, beaten 11 lengths, and Making Sparks (Tony Ciuffetelli) settling for fourth.
