YONKERS, N.Y.— Tony Beltrami launched into action late with Mycrownmykingdom (Muscle Hill) to seize the harness racing throne in a 1:57.2 mile and win the $12,100 North American Amateur Drivers Association (NAADA) Trot at Yonkers Raceway on Thursday night (Oct. 31).
Leaving from post 7, Beltrami hustled Mycrownmykingdom forward and cleared command before yielding the lead to 7-5 favorite Secret Bro (driven by Andrew Adamczyk) through a :27.4 first quarter. Secret Bro then faced a first-over challenge from Ima Standup Guy (Joe Faraldo), who was left parked at the quarter, and the two sparred through a :58 half and to three-quarters in 1:27.3.
Ima Standup Guy faltered from the wide trip while Secret Bro managed to open two lengths on the spin for home. Mycrownmykingdom, off the ground-saving trip, sprung forward late and successfully collared Secret Bro at the line to win by a neck.
Velociraptor (Yogi Sheridan) rallied three wide around the final turn to take third, beaten another four lengths, while Ima Standup Guy settled for fourth.
