Plainville, MA — It’s only July and Remember Titans (E L Titan) has already racked up his tenth win of the harness racing season after taking the $20,000 Open Handicap trotting feature at Plainridge Park on Thursday afternoon (July 14).
The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono shipper Blenheim (Matty Athearn) left hard and opened up a two length advantage as he skated past quarters in :27.4 and :56.2.
Remember Titans (Jay Randall) was drafting second in a loose pocket and the remainder of the field was trying to keep up. Halfway up the backside, Remember Titans got closer to the leader and then shortly after entering the far turn, Blenheim made a break and Remember Titans inherited a two-length lead.
Trix And Stones (Drew Monti) was in full flight driving hard and Marquis Lafayette (Bruce Ranger) and Raybarnz (Ivan Davies) joined in that pursuit, but Remember Titans was under minimal urging and cruised home on top by 1-¼ lengths in 1:53.3, which was a new lifetime mark.
