Willow Oak Ranch owner, Richard Arnold, from the great state of Tennessee, joins Freddie, Trade and Bob on this week’s edition of the Harness Racing Alumni Show.
Richard is a prominent attorney and an owner/breeder of standardbred racehorses. Arnold shares with us the story of how he first got involved in harness racing. He also discusses the reasoning behind his letter to HRU voicing his criticism of the Williams & Faraldo optimismsĀ that are in opposition to the well-being of harness racing.
Richard also addresses HISA and feels that it might be the only hope for our sports survival. All on this week’s broadcast.
Quote from Richard Arnold: “In consideration of Mr. Guralās role in helping to focus the industry on the cheating he should be nominated for USTA Person of The Year or even Decade rather than the object of a public letter from the USTA asking that he, rather than the cheaters, be investigated.”
