Rose Run Valor (Uncle Peter, Kayne Kauffman) won the $34,000 Open Handicap harness racing trot at Miami Valley Raceway on Monday (Feb. 26).
Renegade Gypsy (Chris Page) took the early lead but was quickly overcome by Rose Run Valor. Predator And Prey (Josh Sutton) was racing in third as they reached the first quarter mile in :27.3. As they headed to the half mile in :57, Rose Run Valor led the way, Renegade Gypsy was in second, and Predator And Prey battled with Adamsville Road (Luke Hanners) for third.
Rose Run Valor was on top by a length and a quarter. Adamsville Road was first-over and looking to challenge Renegade Gypsy for second. Adamsville Road moved into second as they came to the three-quarter mile in 1:24.4.
Rose Run Valor was the one to catch as they turned for home. Rose Run Valor crossed the wire first in 1:53.2. Renegade Gypsy followed in second and Caviar Gold (Dan Noble) got third.

Rose Run Valor is a 7-year-old gelding owned by Natalie Kauffman and trained by Kayne Kauffman. He paid $17.40 to win.
Chris Page, Dan Noble, Trace Tetrick, and Brett Miller got driving doubles. Kayne Kauffman got a driving triple.
