Lloyds Loves (Rusty’s All In), winner of eight races during the Winter-Spring harness racing meet at Rosecroft Raceway, was honored Saturday night (May 18) as the Horse of the Meet.
The four-year-old mare was first or second in 12 of 13 starts and made $53,300 during the meet, competing for trainers John Wagner and most recently for Michael Hall and owners Chris Devine and William MacMillan who claimed the mare in March.
Johnathan Ahle claimed his first ever driving title at any racetrack, as the 27-year-old edged Trae Porter, 78-71. Jonathan Roberts was third with 59. That trio all finished above 43% of their drives in the top 3.
The Wagner barn closed strongly in Maryland Sires Stakes action to edge Michael Hall for top training honors, 43-40, and earning $364,112.
Business Director was one of five winners for Russell Foster, winning the $12,000 Pacing Open for Arty Foster III and Wanda May Saulsbury. Foster won the $10.000 Open II with Island Of The Sea for Eric and Lisa Ell.
Hugh O’Neil had a driving double, and Frank Tsipouras took the final division of the Mid-Atlantic Drivers Club series,
