Dirt On My Boots ($8.00) and harness racing driver John Wagner seized control just after the opening quarter and held off Transparency by a nose to take the Sunday night featured $11,000 Winners Over $6,000 pace at
Rosecroft Raceway.
After hitting the half in :57 seconds, the homebred owned by Paul Reid and Alvin Stafford, went a back half of :55 to win in 1:52. It was the third win of the year in seven starts for the six-year old son of Tabago Cays who is trained by Jody Dunning.
Wagner won twice on the night getting his other score with AJ Morelli ($4.80) held off the favorite Gia’s Boy in Race 4.
Russell Foster remains super hot on the Fort Washington oval winning five times as Uncle Coz ($15.80), Try Line ($3.80), Jack Quick ($4.20) Walden Woods ($4.80) and Shim ($11.80) were all first to the wire. Two of those wins came for trainer Basil Sapienza. Foster has won nine races over the last two cards.
Driver Brian Burton had two wins on the card as Honky Tonk Flame ($4.00) and Always On Top ($7.80) were winners.
