Harness racing driver Eric Davis and Sea Of Life (Captaintreacherous) moved to the lead passing the opening quarter pole and rolled to an easy 1:53.1 victory taking the $15,500 Open Pace Thursday night (Jan. 20) at Rosecroft Raceway.
Brian Tomlinson trains Sea Of Life for owner Steve Wetzel, and since that combo acquired Sea Of Life, the gelding now has two wins and two seconds in five starts since December 1st.
SEA OF LIFE REPLAY
It was one of two wins on the night for Davis who scored with Select Friday for owner-trainer Katie Callahan.
In Record Time, a 12-year-old son of By A Length, pulled off a 10-1 upset and career win number 36 for WG LLC, and trainer-driver Michael Greene. It was one of five, $20 plus win mutuels on the night.
Corey Braden won twice on the card, as did Jim Morand and Russell Foster. Trainer Trevor Stafford had two winners.
There was an accident in the ninth race, just after the start, Bo Breeze jumped a pylon and went down, interfering with trailing horses. Driver Bryson Dunning went down and was hit twice. He was taken to the hospital for an examination for injuries to his midsection. Jonathan Roberts was able to continue driving on the card. Both Bo Breeze and Capital Builder were able to walk off on their own.
