The Chris Ryder Racing Stable announced Tuesday (Oct. 3) evening via social media that their harness racing world champion pacing mare, Niki Hill (Always B Miki – Road Bet ā Bettorās Delight), has been retired from racing.
Voted the 2021 Dan Patch Award as the top two-year-old pacing filly in the nation, Niki Hill ended her racing career with a record at age 3 of 1:48.4. She won 14 of her 20 career starts and earnings of $1,342,452. Niki Hill was owned by Tom Hill of Lancashire, UK and was bred by Stephen Dey, III of Allentown, NJ.
During her four years at the races, Niki Hill was victorious in numerous Grand Circuit stakes races including the Breeders Crown, Three Diamonds, Kindergarten Final, Bluegrass Stake, Sheās A Great Lady, Pennsylvania Sire Stakes, Matron Stakes, Glen Garnsey Memorial and the NJ Maturity.
