Scioto Downs cancels after two races

Due to severe thunderstorms and lightening, track officials at Eldorado Scioto Downs were forced to cancel the harness racing card after two races were held Saturday (May 21).

Track officials waited as long as possible for the storms to pass, but it was too long, and it was decided to cancel the remaining race program.

“We canceled because of weather and track condition and the safety of our participants and our equine athletes,” explained Jason Roth, Director of Racing at Eldorado Scioto Downs.
