DOVER, Del. —- Sentosa Island, whose two-race win streak ended with a tough neck setback last start, is the one to beat in the Delaware $10,700 harness racing 4&5-Year-Old Male pace at Dover Downs on Sunday, Feb. 15. Post time is 5:30 p.m.
Since arriving at Dover from Ontario, Sentosa Island has shown excellent early speed dashing away to take the lead after the opening quarter after starting from outside posts in each of his last two start. The gelding cut out the early pace last time before being caught in the closing strides finishing third losing by a neck. Allan Davis will drive for owner Alan Welch. A Exscape Artist and Bret Brittingham also closed well from a post 8 start to finish fourth. Owned by Terry and Frank Long, the four-year-old had won his previous race. Mike Hill's JR Bolt has been racing well and will be driven by Vic Kirby from post 9 in the second tier.
Leading the other contenders are Arty Foster Jr.'s American Anthem and Trace Tetrick, Crissman Inc.'s A Quick Buck leaving from post 8 with Tony Morgan, Spring Terror, from the rail with Kim Vincent driving for Robin Callahan, Keith Murray and Willis Dewey, Anastasias Papadopoulos' Tori's Terror and Brandon Henley, Encore Stable's Heaven Is For Real, piloted by Art Stafford Jr. and Marjorie Richards' Heza Hot Cookie and driver Jonathan Roberts.
Dover Downs races Sundays at 5:30 p.m. and weekdays, Monday through Thursday beginning at 4:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday are 'dark days.'
