She Means Business did just that at Eldorado Scioto Downs on Wednesday (August 25), winning the $18,600 non-winners of one harness racing series final for 2-year-old filly pacers in 1:54.2.
The race card was plagued with a big storm that went through south Columbus and delayed the start of the races for nearly an hour.
Five races in, nine freshman fillies lined up behind the gate for the $18,900 series final.
She Means Business and Tyler Smith left from post five, but race favorite She’sonebadmomma (Jeremy Smith) took the lead midway around the first turn towards the :27.3 opening quarter. Parklane Unique (Trevor Smith) applied pressure to the leader at the :57.2 half and 1:25.1 third quarter but could never clear.
As the field came out of the last turn, She Means Business pulled to the outside and won by one and three-quarter lengths. The Pet Rock filly out of the Western Ideal mare Nuzzle Hanover is trained by Ryan Miller for Miller Racing Stable, Chris Gilbert, Mazing Racing Stable and HorsePlay Racing Stable. She was a $23,000 Ohio Select Sale yearling purchase and now has $36,175 earned on the year.
SHE MEANS BUSINESS REPLAY
