Sevenshotsobourbon captures Tioga feature

Sevenshotsobourbon (Chapter Seven) took the $10,000 featured harness racing trot at Tioga Downs on Saturday (July 6).

Sevenshotsobourbon ($7.00) went to the lead and led to the quarter in :27.3.  He slowed things down with a :30.0 second quarter to be first to the half in :57.3.  He continued to be in control getting to three-quarters first in 1:26.2.

As they entered the stretch Dewey Arnold (Bruce Aldrich Jr.) came flying down the outside as Mystical Wynn (Jimmy Taggert Jr.) slipped through on the inside.  Sevenshotsobourbon dug in as Second place finisher Dewey Arnold kept coming.  Sevenshotsobourbon got it done in 1:55.4.  Mystical Wynn finished third.

Sevenshotsobourbon is a 6-year-old gelding owned by Lee Clarke and trained by Vern Smith.  It was his 4th win this season.  He now has 17 career victories.
