Freehold, NJ — Spring was in the air at Freehold Raceway on Friday (March 11), and harness racing driver Austin Siegelman took full advantage of the nice weather, winning four races on the 10-race card.
Siegelman started his day a winner, guiding Princess Holly N to victory in race 1 for owner/trainer Mike Fiumenero. He added his second win on the day in race 5, as Trump This prevailed for trainer Symon Spicer. In race 6, Siegelman completed the hat trick, as Western Fair shipper Dandy Idea won impressively for trainer Yogi Sheridan.
Siegelman was odds-on to complete the hat trick in the 8th race, driving heavy favorite Art History for trainer Izzy Estrada. With a first-over move just before the half-mile point, Siegelman got up to win and complete the grand slam.
Through the first two months of the season, Siegelman is well on his way to another Freehold driving title. He has 41 wins through 175 drives, far and away the most of any Freehold driver.
