WASHINGTON, PA, Aug. 10, 2024 — Allen “Sisco Kid” Sisco and Golden Compass (Sebastian K S-Zette Angel) saved ground for most of the mile, then brushed past Brandon “The Prestodigitator” Presto (Troycen) in the lane to down them by 1/2 length and capture Saturday’s (Aug. 10) $10,000 Great Lakes Amateur Drivers Association (GLADA) harness racing trot at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
It was the fourth win in the last five starts for Golden Compass, a 6-year-old gelding who boosted his career bankroll to $152,007. Winning time for the 6-5 favorite was 1:57.1.
GOLDEN COMPASS REPLAY
Steve “You’re Never Too” Oldford (Holton) and Jerry “Duke Of Oil” Kehm (Angeliki) finished third and fourth, respectively. It was an especially gladdening GLADA for Sisco, who trains both Golden Compass and Holton, and Oldford, whose Oldford Racing LLC owns the duo. For her part, the 4-year-old Angeliki vaulted over $100,000 in lifetime earnings.
It also was a banner day for “The Prestodigitator,” who collected a trio of training victories in addition to his GLADA place finish.
