WASHINGTON, PA, Oct. 18, 2022 — Slick Artist A (Art Major-Slick Bird) threw down a 27 third quarter that allowed her to open daylight on the harness racing field and capture Tuesday’s (Oct. 18) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,100 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace.
Arnie’s Angel attacked the leader first over down the backside and even stuck her nose in front. But when Slick Artist A clicked off that swift panel for Dave Palone, the challenger had to retreat.
Slick Artist A prevailed in 1:54.2, 2 lengths better than the rallying Irish Daydream, while Arnie’s Angel saved show.
Gerald Lee, Jr. owns and trains the winner, an 8-year-old mare who now boasts a lifetime bankroll of $311,990. She paid $4.40 to win.
