WASHINGTON, PA, Feb. 8, 2023 — Slick Artist A (Art Major-Slick Bird) took advantage of outstanding early position and shot the Lightning Lane to capture Wednesday’s (Feb. 8) harness racing feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,100 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace.
Sent off from post 7 at 6-1, Slick Artist A was able to drop in second for Ridge Warren behind Lydeo, who was determined to set the fractions, But Lydeo, who hadn’t raced since September, was vulnerable to the late brush of Slick Artist A, who blew by to triumph in 1:53. Lydeo held second, 1-1/2 lengths back, with Leave Her Wild third.
