Slipinsidewayz wins $110,000 DSBF pace

HARRINGTON, DE – Bryan Truitt Jr.’s Slipinsidewayz (Badlands Hanover, $6.60, Victor Kirby) was a 1:57.4 winner in the $110,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) 2-year-old harness racing pacing filly Tuesday (Oct. 10) at Harrington Raceway.

Trained by Bryan Truitt, the filly was a one-length winner on the front end for her 2^nd straight victory. Jett Propelled was second with Nova’s Baby Girl third.

In the $50,000 Kathleen Cain, Brenda Teague’s Tae (I’m Gorgeous, $3, Tony Morgan) prevailed in 1:52.2, equaling her lifetime mark at age 8. The mare set all the fractions and maintained a comfortable lead at the wire over Southwind Mina and Shield Maiden. It was her 5^th win of the year for her owner/trainer.

The race is named in honor of Cain, who worked as a receptionist at Harrington for nearly 50 years. She was in the winner’s circle for the blanket presentation joined by friends and family.

Tyler and Brendan Davis’ Seamslilsassy (Badlands Hanover, $7.80, Allan Davis) won the $20,000 DSBF filly consolation in 1:58.4.

Corey Callahan had 3 wins on the card to give him 8 wins over the last 2 cards.
