The Standardbred Owners Association of New York is saddened by the death of harness racing driver Hunter Myers on March 20. By all accounts, Hunter was a consummate professional and a total asset to our industry.
In recognition of the impact this tragedy will have on his young family, the SOA of New York authorized today the payment of $5,000.00 to benefit Hunter’s one-year-old son, Hayden.
While Hunter was not part of the Yonkers Raceway drivers colony, it is nonetheless hoped that today’s contribution by the SOA will serve to motivate members of the New York racing community to assist Hayden, his mother, Chloe Fisher, and the Myers family in any way possible in the wake of their devastating loss.
