Grove City, OH – Five divisions of 43 three-year-old colt harness racing pacers will take to the MGM Northfield Park track Wednesday night June 7 in search of a win in the second leg of the Buckeye Stallions Series. A total of $100,000 will be on the line with each division carrying a purse of $20,000.
Four of the divisions will feature winners from the first leg at Miami Valley Raceway on May 3.
In the first division, Primary Driver (Fear The Dragon) will look for his second win in Stallion Series. The gelding is trained and driven by Brady Galliers. Primary Driver has won two of his five starts this year.
In the second division, Boardwalk Jack will look for his third win of the year in seven starts. The son of Downbytheseaside is trained by Ron Burke and will be driven by Chris Page.
Burke and Page will team up with another son of Downbytheseaside as Gettingyoursealegs is the early line favorite. Gettingyoursealegs has hit the board in five starts this year, winning two.
The other first-leg winner looking to win again is Don’ttouchmytruck. The gelded son of Racing Hill will be looking for his fourth win in seven starts this year. Page will drive for trainer Judy Roegner.
Three first-leg winners, Seafire, Surfside Beach, and Under Your Scars are not entered in the second leg.
First race post time for the 15-race card from MGM Northfield Park is 6:00 PM.
