Grove City, OH – Four harness racing divisions of three-year-old filly pacers will take to the Eldorado Scioto Downs track Friday, June 21 in search of a win in the second leg of the Buckeye Stallions Series. A total of $80,000 will be on the line with each division carrying a purse of $20,000.
Three of the divisions will feature winners from the first leg at Miami Valley Raceway on May 1.
Illegal (Western Vintage) will look for her second Buckeye Stallion Series win in the first division. She went gate-to-wire in the first leg for trainer Mike Polhamus. She is 3-1 on the morning line, the second choice behind Odds On Sara Sara. Tyler Smith will drive Illegal.
Odds On Sara Sara has hit the board in four of five starts, winning two for trainer Virgil Morgan Jr. Brett Miller will drive the 5-2 favorite.
In the second division, Fearless Ginger (Fear The Dragon) will look for her fourth win of the year. The filly is trained by Tim Lane and will be driven by Austin Hanners. Fearless Ginger is the 7-5 favorite.
In the third division, Lady Bridgerton is coming off a win at the Pickaway County Fair. Dan Noble will drive the 5-2 favorite for Brian Georges. Lady Bridgerton is looking for her third win of the year.
The final division will yield a new Buckeye Stallion Series winner. I’m Fancy Like (Dancin Yankee) is the favorite. The filly is trained by Jason McGinnis and driven by Aaron Merriman. I’m Fancy Like will be looking for her fourth win in ten starts.
Two first-leg winners, Flying Bullets and Muddin Up are not entered in the second leg. Flying Bullets is scheduled to race Saturday in the second leg of the Ohio Sires Stakes, while Muddin Up will head to Kentucky for her next start.
The first race post time for the 16-race card is 5:45 PM.
